Xisen and the belt and Road Initative
As the first domestic potato company to implement the "Belt and Road" development strategy, Hessen Potato Industry Group started early and developed rapidly. At present, it has carried out relevant cooperation with five countries in the United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Argentina, and the Netherlands. With fruitful results, it has become the "forerunner" in the implementation of the "Belt and Road" strategy ".
Sino-British cooperation
The company and the James Hutton Institute signed a memorandum of understanding in 2014. Through the introduction of resources and technology, combined with the actual needs of production, we have carried out joint research and strengthened the training and exchange of technical personnel. At present, the two sides have exchanged more than 30 visits. The focus of future cooperation is to accelerate the introduction, evaluation and utilization of more than 10000 wild germplasm resources, disease diagnosis and control, seed potato production technology, storage technology, personnel exchange and training, and regularly hold Sino-British potato seminars.

The company cooperates with Saifulin Agricultural University of Kazakhstan, and the two sides make use of their respective resources and technological advantages to carry out the evaluation, identification and screening of potato germplasm resources according to the characteristics of agricultural production in countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" route. Cooperation in breeding, breeding and promotion of new potato varieties. In the future, a test and demonstration base for new varieties and special machinery of Xisen will be built at Saifulin Agricultural University, and the Kazakhstan sub-center of the National Potato Engineering Technology Research Center will be established. In the future, we will jointly build a China-Kazakhstan potato science and technology innovation platform, set up potato scholarships, and further strengthen the demonstration and promotion of the three-generation potato breeding system and a full set of agricultural machinery equipment, as well as talent exchange and training.
