With a total investment of over 200 million yuan, covering an area of 31,500 square meters, it can breed 150 million virus-free seedlings annually, making it the largest in the country.
Following the Shandong Lelung base and the Beijing Yanqing base, this is another high-standard modern tissue culture center built by the Xisen Potato Industry Group.
The facilities and equipment are top-notch in the country: including potato virus testing laboratories, potato shoot tip detoxification laboratories, culture medium preparation workshops, stem segment propagation workshops, potato tissue culture workshops, and disinfection washing workshops; equipped with advanced tissue culture equipment, an advanced seedling monitoring system, an automatic filling line for culture medium, and employee air shower passages.
Supporting the construction of 1,000 original seed breeding greenhouses, capable of producing 400 million original seeds annually.

Once the project is completed, it can achieve an annual production of 400 million original micro-potatoes, meeting the planting needs of 80,000 acres of original seeds, and subsequently provide 3 million tons of high-quality virus-free seed potatoes nationwide, meeting the planting needs of 18 million acres of farmland, which can help lift 1.6 million farmers out of poverty. By then, combined with the Lelung base and Yanqing base, the Xisen Potato Industry Group can produce 800 million original seeds annually, meeting nearly half of the national potato planting needs.
Once the project is completed, it can directly provide 300 jobs and indirectly drive 3,000 farmers, increasing the average annual income by 5,000 yuan, effectively solving the employment problem of the surplus labor force in the surrounding areas.
After the project is built, it can fully achieve self-sufficiency in original seeds and original seed potatoes in Shangdu, which will help Shangdu establish a complete three-level breeding system for virus-free seed potatoes, further improving the breeding capacity and level of Shangdu seed potatoes, and accelerating the construction of Shangdu as the Potato Capital.
Once the project is completed, it can further strengthen the foundational position of potatoes as a pillar industry in the local area, helping to make the potato industry a key industry for targeted poverty alleviation and increasing farmers' income, significantly improving the income level of local farmers, and truly achieving poverty alleviation through the potato industry.
